Polestar is a Swedish electric-performance car brand, launched in 2017 as a spin-off from Volvo and Geely. Headquartered in Gothenburg, it sells its EVs globally via an online direct‑to‑customer model and physical “Spaces” in key cities
It currently offers three models:
- Polestar 2: A fastback compact luxury EV introduced in 2019
- Polestar 3: Mid-size premium SUV, launched in late 2022
- Polestar 4: Coupe-style compact SUV, in production since late 2023
Upcoming models include the Polestar 5 electric sedan (arriving in 2025) and the Polestar 6 roadster (expected in 2026). The company’s long-term goal, Polestar 0, aims for full climate-neutral car production by 2030.
