The EP‑1320 Medieval is a portable sampler/groovebox by Teenage Engineering, themed around medieval-era instruments and sounds.
It features an extensive built-in library with hurdy-gurdys, lutes, Gregorian chants, battle drums, Foley effects (like swords and dragons), plus modern sampling capabilities via mic or line-in.
It runs on AAA batteries or USB-C and uses physical pads, knobs, and an arpeggiator for creating “bubonic beats” with an ancient twist.
