Ginkgo’s Sociotechnical Studio is a multidisciplinary design, policy, and storytelling lab within Boston-based biotech leader Ginkgo Bioworks.
The team explores—and helps shape—the cultural, ethical, and societal dimensions of synthetic biology through projects that range from campaigns like “I Love G.M.O.” and production of Grow Magazine, to strategic advisory in policy, branding, and creative communications.
The website adopts a clean, editorial aesthetic—highlighting colorful illustrations, deep-thinking essays, philanthropic campaigns, and collaborations that aim to foster a more equitable, sustainable biological future.
