Daily Rituals

Daily rituals is a fun, highly interactive passion project built entirely by the team at bar.digital—a small, independent design studio based out of Barcelona.

The platform acts as a transparent, day-in-the-life log of what running a remote creative agency actually looks like. It was built purely for the joy of the craft and to test the limits of Framer, earning a well-deserved Awwwards Nominee nod along the way. For UI/UX designers and front-end devs, it’s a brilliant example of how to blend storytelling with custom typography and clever web design.

The Design & Philosophy

Instead of leaning on the predictable, copy-paste layouts or AI-generated graphics that dominate the web today, this site is all about the human touch:

  • The “0% AI” Promise: Every single detail—from the grid layout down to the quirky vector doodles and hand-lettered text—was created manually by the team.
  • The Look & Feel: The interface feels incredibly warm and cozy, pairing soft neutral tones with raw line drawings that perfectly depict the reality of working from home.
  • The Weekly Calendar: The heart of the site is an interactive, calendar-inspired time matrix that maps out their standard workweek. It breaks down their days into clear blocks for design reviews, syncs, lunch breaks, and focus time.

Inside the Studio: A Peek at Their Routine

The site reads like an honest timeline, taking you through the key hours that keep the studio running smoothly without the usual office chaos:

  • 09:00 AM (The Morning Sync): Time to switch into work mode. The team jumps on a quick 30-minute Google Meet call to catch up on yesterday’s time logs, lock in the top three priorities for the day, and drop a quick summary in chat so everyone is on the same page.
  • 10:00 AM (Deep Focus): Reserved strictly for heavy design and dev work. Notifications are turned off while minds are still fresh. If a project needs brainstorming or a collaborative push, they’ll hop onto a shared FigJam session or workshop call.
  • 15:00 PM (Client Calls & Wrapping Up): The afternoon is all about momentum. This block is used for client check-ins, sharing progress, managing non-profit and social initiatives, running learning sessions, and logging hours so tomorrow’s schedule is ready to go before everyone signs off.
