Waste Land

Filmed over three years, WASTE LAND follows artist Vik Muniz from Brooklyn to Brazil’s largest garbage dump, where he collaborates with local recyclers, or catadores, to create powerful portraits from trash. As art transforms both the materials and the people, the film reveals a moving story of dignity, resilience, and the redemptive power of creativity.
